Requests

Are there songs that we've done before that you miss doing? Let me know and I'll try to add them in the next few weeks!
Are there other songs that you would like to hear in class? Make suggestions and I'll see what I can do!
Hope to see you all in class this week!!! Last week for Thriller btw!

Hey amy! its mia, ryan's cousin, from the monday night class at SNAP! The very first week I went to class we cooled down to the Lady Gaga song alejandro and I really enjoyed it. I love the class so much, I was wondering if in the next couple weeks we could cool down to it again! Thanks!

Zumba Basics

Ditch the workout, join the party!!!

Zumba is a latin/international dance based fitness program that emphasizes fun! You won't feel like it's a workout, but more like a party with friends. But don't get me wrong, you will sweat, and on average will burn 400-600 calories an hour. If you're really kickin' it up you can expect to burn around 1,000!

I have four rules in my class that give you an idea of what I like about Zumba:

1. Don't worry, be happy! Everyone has their own style and Zumba encourages that, so don't worry that you're not going to get the moves or that others are judging your abilities...Zumba is about feeling the music and doing what you feel is good for you. The moves are easy to modify to fit your needs.

2. Keep moving! If you're not moving you're really not having fun or getting a workout...so unless you are physically in need (please no fainting!) or have to get some water keep it going.

3. Respect and support each other! One of the best things about Zumba is the feeling of community. I encourage my students to get to know each other (and me!) and form bonds...after all, it's much more fun to party with friends than strangers! Being respectful to each other is key to the Zumba attitude...Peace, Love, Zumba!

4. Have fun!!! Bottom line. Wait this should be #1 right?

If you've never tried it, you're missing out! Invite your friends, wear comfortable clothing & shoes with very little tread (helps save your knees on those twisting moves!), and bring your party attitude! Hope to see you soon :)
